Nidhi's Grandmaa Secret was founded by a person who was working as a software engineer in 2013 when she gave birth to her son. She initially thought she would continue her job and also take care of her son, but soon realised he was struggling without her, so she decided to quit her job and devoted herself to him. After six years of working with her son, she felt she had not spent much time on herself and wanted to do something to boost her confidence. Remembering her grandmother’s practice of making various ayurvedic products at home, she used her grandmother’s anti-hairfall oil recipe, started making it at home, and distributed it to friends. Their positive feedback and encouragement to sell it online led her to establish Nidhi's Grandmaa Secret. She started with just the hair oil and later expanded to a full range of hair care products.
