Sonic Lamb originated from the founders’ long-standing passion for music, engineering and innovation. During their 4 years of engineering, Navajith and Jagath were deeply engaged in research projects on hearing implants and communication systems for helmets, which helped them explore ways to reproduce sound through the body (skin and bone) instead of relying solely on ears. In 2019, they developed technology to reproduce sound through air, bone and skin, and integrated it into a regular headphone, triggering a powerful nostalgic recall of high-fidelity home audio. Excited by their discovery, they 3D-printed headphone prototypes for personal use. As friends and fellow audio enthusiasts tried these prototypes, word of the product spread quickly, and the team began setting up demo kiosks at high-footfall events, where positive feedback confirmed demand. From 2019 to 2022, they refined the hybrid driver technology and industrial design through more than 15 prototype versions, testing the product with people and benchmarking Sonic Lamb against leading premium headphones. Rapture Audio Labs is described as a young and small but fast-growing team, and together, Navajith and Jagath are the co-founders of Rapture Innovations. The company’s audio technology has received patents and recognition in startup and innovation programs.
Sonic Lamb's Mission Statement
Sonic Lamb aims to create what it calls an “Eargasmic experience,” described as the ultimate listening experience and pleasure to the ears, by building the perfect conduit between people and music. The brand focuses on reproducing sound in a way that is not only heard but also felt and perceived by the body, reflecting life experiences such as euphoria and nostalgia. It emphasizes that “Eargasmic” is not sensual but is about the impact and influence of getting lost in music and the way this connection transforms, motivates and gives immense pleasure.
What distinguishes Sonic Lamb from other Electronics Brands
Sonic Lamb differentiates itself through hybrid driver technology and audio research focused on reproducing sound through the body, including skin and bone, and through air, bone and skin, so that sound is not just heard but also felt and perceived by the body. The brand presents this as part of delivering its “Eargasmic experience,” which it defines as the ultimate listening experience and pleasure to the ears. The Sonic Lamb headphones are designed, engineered and made in India, and have been tested and tuned in Denmark through the SoundTech accelerator program at Sound Hub Denmark, an international audio technology innovation centre located at Struer and co-founded and supported by Bang & Olufsen and Harman Lifestyle along with Aalborg University and Struer Municipality. This program has allowed Sonic Lamb to test and validate the mechanical, electronics and acoustics of its headphones, and the headphones were tuned using the state-of-the-art headphone measurement system from GRAS with the guidance of Peter Petersen, CEO of Sound Hub Denmark and former CTO of Bang & Olufsen. The team developed over 15 versions of prototypes to perfect the product while testing with people and benchmarking Sonic Lamb against leading premium headphones. Sonic Lamb’s innovative audio technology has been granted a patent in India, and the company is in the process of obtaining patents in 26 other countries.
